The crucial General Council meeting of AIADMK on Thursday chose Sasikala Natarajan as the party's new General Secretary. The meeting started with Partha paying tribute observing two-minute silence tribute to late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa.
An empty chair in the middle of the stage signified the absence of late CM and condolence resolution was passed in the meeting. All the party’s leaders and district secretaries had assembled in Vanagaram on Thursday morning for the meeting.
