Samajwadi Party's 25th Anniversary : In a show of bonhomie and strength, the stalwarts of Uttar Pradesh's ruling Yadav family came together on stage in Lucknow as the Samajwadi Party celebrated its silver jubilee on Saturday.
Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, state president Shivpal Yadav and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav shared the stage with senior JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav, RJD chief Lalu Prasad and HD Deve Gowda, the national president of the Janata Dal (Secular) indicating a possible Bihar-like grand alliance in the poll-bound state.
